Get Thee Behind Me
My demon and I meet Margrete, bakery proprietress.
In a flash, Azazel jettisons my body, his dark essence engulfing Margrete’s.
“Hey!” I yell. Freedom tainted by indignation.
“C’mon,” says Azazel, “she has pie.”

Thought I’d write something a little different for this weekend’s Trifecta Challenge. Here are the guidelines we were given:
This weekend, we’re asking for 33 of your own words that exorcise a demon. One of your own, or one from your imagination. Let it bleed on the page.

Will it share?! 😉
Well done !
I don’t think demons are especially good at sharing, but you never know…
Thank you!
Oh, I love this! You did a great job turning the prompt into an entire story in 33 words. Wonderfully done.
Aw, thank you so much Christine!
she has pie . . . good enough reason for me . . . unless it was chocolate. 🙂
It’s hard to resist the temptation of pie, no matter who you are!
lol! mmmmm pie :3
🙂
Maybe I shouldn’t have eaten so much pie over the holidays…?
Well, if it’s for pie, the move is totally understandable…especially if it was peach or cherry 🙂
Mmm, cherry pie! Right up there with strawberry-rhubarb pie.
A pie would do it for me! What a creative, great take on the prompt!
Thanks Sandra! It looks like pie is a weakness for many of us.
No better reason to succumb to your demon. Sorry, that almost rhymes! Clever.
Thank you Lumdog!
Wow!loved it-a pie loving demon at that;-)But honestly, this is what creativity is all about-an amazing job,Suzanne:-)
Aw, thank you so much!
🙂
Is it a chocolate cream pie? If so, Azazel was in the right. Totally.
Ha! It’s true, hard to go wrong with chocolate cream pie! Thanks for the comment.
I love pie!!! lol great job
Me too! Thanks!
Pie. Excellent. Just excellent. 🙂
Thank you!
I love this twist on the prompt. And I was unaware that demons had such an affinity for pie. Good to know:)
Thanks! I can’t speak for all demons, though it’s hard to imagine not having an affinity for pie.
