Trifextra: Truth

Earth in Your Hands

Truth

I put you away, tucked neatly into the back of my mind. Feigned peace.

But you waited. Patient like I could never be.

And now, look at us. Poised to conquer the world.

This is my submission for this weekend’s Trifextra challenge. We had to write exactly
33 of our own words inspired by the following quote from the book we could win in the WBN giveaway. Good luck!

“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.” ― Paulo CoelhoAlchemist

  1. Absolutely divine ,Suzanne!Loved how you seamlessly brought the seed of a dream & it’s fructification together-lovely photo too:-)You sure are on a roll!

  2. I have found that sometimes the best thing to do when one can’t stop thinking of something is not to try to force oneself to stop thinking about it but instead put it on the back burner. Then it will either come to life on the sly, or it will burn itself out, with any luck.
    Well written piece.

  3. Truth escapes the neatly crafted confines of the mind and blazes
forth! YAY TRUTH! Really love this piece Suzanne!!

  4. You are definitely in a prime writing period! Your great work just continues and continues. There is a diffence between a poem and poetry and, for me, your piece is sheer poetry……as poetry is meant to be. Thanks for creating such great work for us all to enjoy. 🙂

    1. Tom, you are so kind! What a beautiful compliment. I am really glad you enjoyed this — it’s a very personal piece of writing for me and I’m so touched by the comments I’ve received. Thank you sir! 🙂
