Trifextra: Nightfall

We are shadow-bound, indigo children, waiting for the falling night to set us free.

We meld into darkness, losing ourselves in dancing with the sky.

Until daybreak comes searching, corporeal trappings in hand.

This is my submission for this weekend’s Trifextra challenge in which we had to write 33 words inspired by the above photograph.

  1. I too love the image that “indigo children” “dancing with the sky” conjures. And boo to the corporeal trappings of daylight that sends the indigo children packing. Really enjoyed this, Suzanne.

  2. I am glad that you post your work on your Facebook page as well as here within Trifecta. I am curious to know if your community of personal friends and family are as awestruck and impressed with you as we are in his community? This piece is brilliantly constructed and stated, as usual. 🙂

    1. Thanks Tom! I don’t get nearly the same kind of feedback from my friends and family on Facebook as I do here on my blog, especially from the wonderful Trifecta crowd.

  3. Lovely imagery! Your piece reminds me of a film where children play outside at night since they have a condition that makes it too dangerous for them to go out in daylight.
